xanticake
Name's Naz, I'm a digital illustrator based in Turkey.
I take commissions occasionally as a part-time job. I'm currently an undegraduate in translation studies.
Hello there! I'm xanticake aka Naz. I'm a digital illustrator that primarily enjoys creature designing and macabre concepts, I prefer tackling eerie concepts and "weird" topics in my personal work. I'm based in Istanbul. I primarily study anthropomorphism, human and animal anatomy. I have a background in character designing as of general, and I really adore media with fantasy aspects such as Dungeons and Dragons.
I've recently been interested in tattoo designs as well!
Terms of Service (TOS)
By commissioning me, you verify that you have read and agree to these terms fully.
It is crucial to know these terms upon commissioning me.
Simple TOS:
Since unfortunately PayPal is banned in Turkey, I am not able to use as a payment method.
Payment method will be discussed privately between me and the client.
You may upload your commissioned image(s) on social media with credit given.
You may not claim my art as your own creation or intentionally mislead people into thinking it has been created by you.
Commissioned art may not be used commercially unless an explicit agreement to commercial rights has been negotiated. Commercial rights to an image will result in an upcharge, require royalties, or both depending on the contract.
Payment is split into 50% upfront, and 50% after completion of the sketching phase of the image.
Depending on the payment method, if refunding is possible, it will be avaible based on the amount of work completed on the commissioned piece. Read the detailed TOS for clarification .
If refunds aren't avaible for the payment method, that is up to the client to accept that circumstance.
Do not order any NSFW work if you are below 18 years old. By commissioning NSFW art, you agree to being at least 18 or older.
My work may not be used for any NFT-related projects.
My work may not be used for AI generators of any sort. I do not consent to any of my artworks being scraped for the purpose of generating AI imagery or training AI algorithms in any way, shape or form.
DETAILED tos:
SECTION I. IMAGE COPYRIGHTI, the artist, retain full and exclusive rights to the original artwork. The client may not claim it as their own or use it for anything other than personal use.
All commissioned artwork is for noncommercial purpose only. Redistribution of my artwork for use in printed merchandise or as promotion of goods, services or social media pages is prohibited. If the client wishes to use my work in any of these contexts, the client must discuss this with me first and agree on a commercial license, which may include a commercial licensing fee, royalties, or both.- Conditions for Reposting
The client has my permission to repost the artwork wherever they wish, as long as my watermark and or signature remains intact and unaltered, with credit given in description.- Prohibited Actions
Altering my artwork in any way without aquiring explicit permission to do so beforehand, with the exception of cropping/resizing the image (i.e. the use of a profile picture, wallpaper), is strictly forbidden.
The client may not engage in tracing, collaging, editing or otherwise repurposing my artwork without explicit permission.
The client may not claim my artwork as their own, nor as the work of a third party. This is non-negotiable.
SECTION II. PAYMENT INFORMATION- I accept payment in USD. If you wish to tip me for my work, you may add the tip amount onto the base commission payment, or in a seperate payment while informing me beforehand.
Payment method will be discussed, as Turkey is complicated when it comes to international transactions.
If you are commissioning me as a Turkish citizen whom uses TL as currency, prices will be negotiated accordingly. There will be a decrease in charges. I cannot give a rough estimate but it will be about 50% lower than the USD price, but this percentage can roughly fluctuate because of the unstable economy of Turkey.- Refund Policy
If the commission is cancelled (by me or the client) before work has started, then the client will receive a full refund, if payment method allows for it to.
If the client cancels the commission after any amount of work has been done, the amount refunded will be determined on a case-by-case basis and is up to the artist’s discretion. I do have a rough estimate for refunds:
Up to the first stages of rendering, 50% will be refunded. After more complex rendering has commenced or the piece has been finished, there will be no longer be the possibility of a refund.- The artist reserves the right to refuse a commission for any reason.
SECTION III. CONTACT AND COMMUNICATIONDiscussion of commissions can be conducted via Email, Discord (preferred), or any Social Media platform you've initially contacted me through.- Visual Reference Guidelines
Client must provide at least one clear and concise visual reference; please supplement the visual reference with any important information I may need to know to correctly draw the character. A lack of clear visual references may result in increased rates.- You must be over the age of 18 to commission, or attempt to commission, adult/NSFW content. By ordering anything 18+/NSFW you are agreeing that you are at the age of 18 or older.
SECTION IV. WORKFLOW PROCESSI work best when given some artistic freedom to create an image based on the media you provide. I am happy to match a scene or pose that you have in mind, but please allow and expect some variation. My artwork is very stylized in nature and I tend to cover dark and macabre topics within my work, and I tend to draw fantasy genre.
Please keep that in mind while commissioning, because while I can be flexible with my work, I have artistic limits and something too foreign to the subjects I cover, may change the amount of work I put in, therefore raise the price. I may also refuse a commission if it is something that is too out of touch for me, as I wouldnt be able to draw it in a preferable skill-level that i normally provide.- Estimated date to completion
Based on the type of commission, its complexity, its contents, my schedule, my workload from other commissions, and other factors, completion dates will vary severely, especially as I am not a full-time freelance artist. Based on my circumstances around the time of the commission, I will attempt to give a rough estimate of time needed to finish the piece. If a deadline is necessary, that will be discussed and given upon mutual agreement and understanding.
If there are any delays in the completion of a commission, I will personally notify the client. Understand that I am unlikely to accept rush commissions or tight deadlines due to my schedule as a part-time artist.- Works in Progress (WIPS)
Most commission types may or may not include a sketch approval stage. Progress will be paused until the sketch is approved by the client. This sketch approval stage may go through several revisions until ready to move on to coloring or detailing stage. The commission, in general, will include a good amount of communication as it would be the healthiest way to approach it for the best result(s). I advise the client to be communicative and active to respond, since I will also be doing that.- Revisions and edits
If the commission type includes a sketch approval stage, any major changes or revisions must be made at this stage; this includes any significant changes to a character’s pose, body shape, or large parts of the image.
After the sketch has been approved, no major edits or changes will be made. If the client requests additional edits after the approved sketch, an edit fee may be required (the further along the artwork, the more likely this becomes). Very minor changes can be negotiated, but it depends on the context.
If I, the artist, happen to make any errors in the character design, accessories, or any other visual elements specified in the initially provided visual references, I will make these edits at no additional cost.
I reserve the right to publish commissioned artworks in my portfolio. If you wish for your commission to not be published within my portfolio, please state so.
I will also ask for your permission if I were to be posting the artwork in social media.
Thank you for your interest in my work. If you have any questions, you can contact me anytime!
